Lake Effect Engineering is a WBE and DBE certified engineering firm with over 35 years of combined experience in electrical engineering and construction administration.
We specialize in electrical engineering projects from initial design through construction administration and project close out. Our ability and dedication to providing our clients a completed project, with professional expertise and personal focus, has allowed us to build and maintain partnerships with clients ranging from small independent architects to major world class universities
Our Specialty - Electrical
We intentionally specialize in electrical design and engineering. From low voltage systems such as data, mass notification and fire alarm systems, or new lighting design or upgrades, to high voltage power and transformer upgrades, we pride ourselves in doing what we do well, and getting into detail on any project we do.
Power Systems
Whether it is the power distribution for a building or an entire site, Lake Effect covers everything from utility coordination at the electrical service entrance, panelboard sizing, coordination/arc flash studies, down to equipment layout.
Low Voltage Systems
Low voltage systems are some of the fastest changing systems in a building. Lake Effect can help in the selection and design of new systems, including fire alarm systems, mass notification, sound systems, security systems, data needs, and whatever other low voltage system the future may hold.
Lighting
With efficiency and aesthetics at the forefront, Lake Effect strives to provide the appropriate type of lighting and lighting controls for specific areas. Whether lighting up a football field, or designing the appropriate amount of lighting for a testing center, Lake Effect makes sure to know the owner's needs. This includes lighting controls such as occupancy sensors, networked lighting relay panels that tie into the building management system, digital timer overrides, or a combination of all, while also making sure to meet all local and state code
Construction administration
The design is only as good as the installation. Lake Effect works side by side with owners and contractors to lead meetings throughout construction to keep the progress moving consistently and on schedule.
